Divisions

1. Preliminary/Training—2006 USEA Preliminary Test B;  Show Jumping 3’-7”, XC 3’-3”(see Training below)

2. Open Training—2006 USEA Training Test A;  Jumps 3’-3”, XC approx. 2500 meters at 450 mpm

3. Open Novice—2006 USEA Novice Test B;  Jumps 2’-11”, XC approx. 2000 meters at 375 mpm

4. Beginner Novice—2006 USEA Beginner Novice Test A;  Jumps 2’-7”, XC approx. 1800 meters at 350 mpm

5. Tadpole—2007 USDF Intro Test B, Jumps, 2’-3”, XC approx. 1200 meters (assistance allowed on XC)

6. Amoeba—2007 USDF Intro Test A;  Jumps 1’-9”, XC approx. 800 meters, (calling allowed for tests and assistance allowed on XC)

All tests will be ridden in small 20m x 40m arenas

 

Entry Fees/Stabling: $150 (includes a stall with each entry). Stall doors, initial bedding provided.  Additional bedding available for purchase. No straw bedding allowed!  Non-competing horses—$65 for stabling.  Entries limited; max 3 horses/rider. Entries must be in the hands of the secretary by closing date.  Hookups $20/night.  Late entries (received after Dec. 27) may be accepted, space permitting, with an additional $20 late fee. Negative coggins within 12 months of  show date must be sent with entry.

Stabling:  Included in entry fee and Available Jan. 1 for early arrivals

 

Friday Schooling: The cross-country course will be open Friday for schooling, see fees below.

Amoeba and Tadpole—Free
Beg. Novice, Novice and Training—$25

 

Friday schooling fees for non-entered horses:

Amoeba and Tadpole—$20
Beg. Novice, Novice, and Training—$40

 

Ride Times:  A tentative time schedule will be posted on the Pine Top Farm web site (www.pinetopfarm.com/events.shtml) on Wednesday, Dec. 24.

 

Accommodations: Host Hotel—Best Western White Columns Inn, Thomson, 1-800-528-9765 or 706-595-8000. Ask for HT rates.  Camper hookups available on grounds for $20 per night. 

 

Other Information: In general, USEA/USEF rules will be followed. It is the competitor’s responsibility to know and abide by the rules. Approved hard hat with fastened safety harness required whenever mounted. Riders must wear current emergency medical info armband while jumping and protective safety vest for cross country. Divisions may be further divided/combined based on age and experience. Be sure to include this information on your entry form! Braiding is discouraged. 

 

Attire:  Informal.  Half chaps with matching paddock boots OK.  No chaps. 

Excellent concessions available.  All dogs must be leashed and poop scooped!

 

Directions: address is 1432 Augusta Rd, Thomson, GA. Farm is 2 miles east of Thomson on US 78/278 (Augusta Highway). From I-20 eastbound: Exit 172 south on GA 17, 2 miles to left at light on Harrison Road, pass Wal-Mart, go thru 2 intersections, cross RR, left at Winn Dixie on US 78/278 east. Go ˝ mile to PTF entrance at brick sign on left. From I-20 westbound: Exit 175, south 3 mi. to 1st light at Harrison Rd. Turn left, go thru 1 intersection, cross RR, left at Winn Dixie on US 78/278 east. Go ˝ mile to PTF entrance at brick sign on left.
